Automaton Survival Rules
A practical Automaton survival guide covering positioning, target priority, equipment roles, and extraction discipline.
Fight from cover, not from open ground
Automaton accuracy and volume punish long exposures. Move between hard cover, fire in short windows, and reposition before a patrol or reinforcement wave can establish multiple firing angles.
Breaking line of sight is often stronger than trading damage. Terrain, structures, smoke, and elevation let the squad reset pressure, reload support weapons, and revive safely.
Use a shared target priority
Rocket threats, heavy weapons, and units that can call reinforcements take priority over nearby low-threat infantry. Mark the next target so the squad concentrates damage instead of spreading ammunition across several armored enemies.
- Eliminate reinforcement callers before the flare completes.
- Remove rocket and heavy-weapon threats before advancing.
- Disable heavy armor with dedicated anti-tank equipment.
- Clear remaining infantry while rotating toward the objective.
Build for armor and sustained pressure
At least two squad members should carry reliable answers to medium or heavy armor. Pair those tools with stagger, precision strikes, and a source of sustained fire so the team is not helpless while high-damage stratagems recharge.
Keep one resupply charge available before starting a major objective or extraction. An organized retreat with ammunition is safer than holding an exposed position until every cooldown is exhausted.
