Major Order Prep Checklist
A pre-deployment and operation-management checklist for contributing efficiently to active Helldivers 2 Major Orders.
Confirm the strategic objective
Check the active Major Order, its remaining time, eligible planets, and current campaign pressure before selecting an operation. Favor progress that directly contributes to the order unless the squad has a deliberate defensive or resource objective.
Use the Galactic War tracker to compare fronts and avoid deploying from stale assumptions about control or liberation progress.
Run the launch review
A thirty-second review prevents duplicated boosters and missing capabilities. The host should read the modifiers and confirm the plan before the final ready signal.
- No duplicate booster unless the game explicitly permits it.
- Enemy armor and mission structures have assigned counters.
- The squad knows the intended primary and secondary objectives.
- At least one emergency area-control or defensive tool is available.
- The extraction plan accounts for samples and reinforcement count.
Protect operation completion
Major Order contribution depends on finishing missions and operations, not on winning isolated fights. Disengage from low-value patrols, preserve reinforcements, and prioritize objectives when the clock or squad economy turns against you.
At extraction, establish overlapping fields of fire and rotate cooldowns. Samples are valuable, but they should not cause a preventable squad wipe after the mission objective is secure.
